Career Extract - Jochen Mahlmann

After starting out as a bell-boy in Germany in 1956, Jochen has managed some of the finest establishments on the continent. In South Africa he managed Arthur's Seat in Sea Point and the Marine Hotel in Hermanus. In 1971, at the age of 31, Jochen became South Africa's youngest five-star hotel manager at the Trust Hotels. With his whole career spent in contact with tourists from all over the world, it was a natural progression for Jochen to finally establish his own exclusive personal tour guiding company.
